Awful, was closing on house after we moved out of state, This "Dawn" was suppose to send me seller docs failed to do so, I had to call her 5 times to get her to do it, Once she did, She sent them 2 days before closing... I overnighted back to them using USPS because they have PO box for an address and USPS and FEDEX cant deliver to PO... It was available at 5 am the morning for closing and they failed to pick it from the mail... Delaying closing... Terrible experience
If there was ever a need for a zero-star rating, it is this place. I sold my home in Norwalk myself, and the buyers were represented by Exit Realty in Norwalk, and they used Jim Dougherty to handle their closing. The office staff wasn't exactly courteous or knowledgable during the closing process, but it went smoothly enough to get through it. 7 months after the closing, I get a call from Jim Dougherty saying I owe an extra $1,400+ in property taxes because he messed up the tax proration on the settlement statement and forgot to include 6 months worth of taxes, then tried explaining how it was my fault, when he was the one responsible for the numbers and cutting me the proceeds check. And of course, in true lawyer fashion, he carefully worded each conversation so as not to ever admit any wrong doing. If you're looking for a real estate attorney, go pretty much anywhere else. I wouldn't even sell a home to a buyer who uses this attorney to represent them.
