Literally the worst rental experience I've had yet. You're paying almost $1000 a month for an apartment worth $650. Management, your best bet is to submit a work order in hopes someone will get in touch with you. They have "office hours" but the likelihood someone will be there when you need them is slim to none. The maintenance man "Austin" is very helpful and responsive. And the neighborhood is somewhat quiet.. parking is terrible. Apparently they remove broke down vehicles and cars that don't belong but I have yet to see that happen so be prepared to walk. The apartment I was supposed to move into was not ready and management let me know that it wouldn't be for a few more weeks, they had 3 months to assign and get the apartment ready and they waited until the day of to tell me. If you want to be treated like a respected human being, if you want to live in an apartment that charges 2x it's actual value and if you'd like to get extra steps in by parking miles away from your home, this is the apartment for you. Definitely won't be renewing.
Coming here from out of state we were excited and looking forward to the new move. We are trying to enjoy it as it is a great city, however, we are still TRYING to enjoy it....
All entrances are outside but facing the other part of the building and somewhat sheltered.
I'll start by saying the grounds are maintained nicely and the maintenance crew is attentive and very nice. I like that it is pet friendly even though we do not have one, and that they have the bags available for your furry friends #2's. Honestly first time I've seen that. It is also a very nice location and astetically pleasing.
Quick response time with maintenance requests. Great customer service.
However, you can hear everything as the walls are very thin and offer little to no sound barrier. At all! We have addressed it with the office, took a while because it was often found locked which we understood as they do have units to show, but often empty and locked. When we were able to see someone in the office we had asked to move to a different unit perhaps not under the trampling noise from upstairs but that was to no avail as we were told it would be rather pricey and we are already paying over $1100 for rent each month + utilities. I also found it rather absurd that even with a pretty high rent you have to purchase a $20 pool/gym key to utilize either of those and each additional key is $10??? Is that not an amenity offered as part of the property? I would understand if say you lost one you'd need to pay for an additional key but the initial should be inclusive really. When we had initially looked at the site it was listed as having the amenity of a fireplace in the 3 bedroom unit for the cost we pay but upon showing no fireplace. However we still pay same as. Parking is a bit of a struggle so if you leave in the evening you find yourself hunting for a spot upon returning or you park on the road. We would have opted for the garage but it's an additional $60 monthly charge.
Watch out for the notice you have to give. Unlike EVERY other apartment, you have to give a 60 days notice. And if you don't, then they will charge you an extra month, but then also charge an extra $100 on that because you switched to a "month to month" rent. Lol. Absolutely would never recommend this apartment. This is not the main office's fault, but more the corporation in general. Horrible.
